The Global Partnerships Forum aims to address economic and social challenges within a global forum through innovative partnerships.
We will strive to achieve this by providing an action-oriented platform, engaging an expert network of leaders and innovators from the United Nations, governments, the private sector, NGOs, philanthropy, civil society and academia to pool our efforts.
With the purpose of sharing our experience and helping the people in the developing world, learning from our success and lessons learned, our partnerships are based on a clear understanding of the mandate and culture of the recipients. Accordingly, we are guided by the following questions: What is the impact? What will we leave behind? Is this what the recipients want?
Providing an expert service to optimize collaboration in development assistance, the Global Partnerships Forum fosters and facilitates partnerships in the areas of Humanitarian Assistance, Human Rights, Environment, Peace & Security, and Economic & Social Development.
By working in these targeted areas, the Forum will further the United Nations agenda, including the Millennium Development Goals. With a particular focus on goal No. 8 - to Develop a Global Partnership for Development - the GPF aims to facilitate results-driven cross-sector partnerships, contributing to social equality, economic growth and a dignified, peaceful and secure life for people in the developing world.
