GPF supports Forum on Global Citizenship

New York, 14 November 2014: The Global Partnerships Forum is pleased to support the Forum on Global Citizenship, which will take place next week on Tuesday, 18 November 2014 at the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the United Nations at 9:00am. The Forum is hosted by the Inter Press Service News Agency, in collaboration with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), The Permanent Mission of  Sri Lanka and Soka Gakkai International (SGI)

The event will be chaired by His Excellency Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, Former Under-Secretary-General and High Representative of the UN, and topics for discussion will include “Global Citizenship as a Pathway to the Culture of Peace” and “Integrating Global Citizenship in International Relations.” Speakers include Mr. Ramesh Jaura, Director-General of IPS, H.E. Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, High Representative for the UN Alliance of Civilizations and Ambassador Dr. Palitha Kohona, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations
